Repost from @globallymealliance. #Selfcare
is all about listening to your body and giving it what it needs in that moment. And when you have Lyme, selfcare is more important than ever. Because our needs do change on the daily. It could be something as benign as getting to bed a little too late the night before, or going slightly off your perfect healthy eating habits because you were away on vacation, or feeling a bit stressed out about an upcoming interview....Things that “normal” people wouldn’t be affected by.
Some days we feel amazing and like we can run a marathon and some days we feel like we cant even lift a finger, let alone take care of our children, or do the laundry, or go to work. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
is a whole other challenge with Lyme, isnt it? Take it from a single mom, it is not easy.
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨ And thats ok. Its all ok. We do our best and some days we just need to sleep or rest, even if that wasnt the plan for the day. And no, it does not make us weak 🤨In fact, being in tune to your body and responding to its needs in any given moment, is strength. Its owning your health, advocating for yourself, and declaring to the universe that you are a co-creator. That is powerful stuff! 💥💪That is strength in my book. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
Self care, whatever that means to you, is an integral part of wellness and living your best, and highest, life. And you can, and will, see the difference! I know I can. Im a way better mother and partner when I practice self-care consistently.
And that goes for everyone, not just us #lymewarriors.
Sending light and love😘
