*LONG CAPTION ALERT*
It was 18th, the day we had to leave for IIT BHU VARANASI.
So we were supposed to reach the station by 6:30, the train leaves at 7. we were a group of 14 girls accompanied by two teachers. By the time I reached my group members had already occupied two compartments which was a little more than enough considering that there were only 16 of us. So the train started moving with high hopes and rosy hearts. Time flew and we were in Lucknow no more. we landed on the famous city of temples at around 3 in the afternoon. The journey from the varanasi station to BHU hostel felt like it's never going to end, but it did, finally. We finally wind up at our assigned hostel and after a little bit of freshening up we were good to go. We quickly maped out everything that we had planed to do the next day, our event was the first event of the day at 8 in the morning. So after a quick verbal rehearsal all of agreed to hit the sack. Little known fact- nobody, I repeat nobody slept that night.
The scene at the bathroom was undoubtedly chaotic. 14 girls running here and there. some for soap, others for bobby pins. Some for kajals, others for matching red dupattas. For a moment all the nervousness flew away as we were trying to get ready for one of the most important performance of our lives.
The registration for street play at the registration desk went swiftly, we got 4th slot and after a few arguments amongst ourselves we were fine with it. we were the first team to arrive at the rajputana grounds. By the time it was 10:30 all the other 7 teams also joined us. Frankly speaking, I had never seen such enthusiasm before in any of the street plays back in my city. They danced and laughed and sang and talked and I couldn't believe my eyes because on the other hand we 14 girls were hysterical. I mean we were exited, nervous, anxious, worried all at the same time. *read the remaining in comments*
