I feel like I had to share this, from my @godness_vibes page: Men Please Read!
He just got in from a 12 hr shift at the coal mine. He's a 20 year old college student on summer break. He's had his share of heartache. He lost his pops to police violence when he was 13. A case of mistaken identity gone wrong. A white cop, killed his pops at a gas station, thinking he was another dude wanted for robbery and attempted murder. The whole thing weng down in front of him & his moms.
Now a days, his moms works as a nurse at the local Urgent Care Clinic. The cop was put on administrative leave but never fired or arrested. But that's white rich family privilege for you. Him and his moms are still trying to get a wrongful death lawsuit to process but the system is giving them the runaround.
He sits on his bed and kicks off his Tims. He tests his moms to let her know be make it in safe. She text back and lets him know she has 2 days off & is tired & will call tomorrow.
After that, he does what he always do when he's had a long shift.
He cries.... He cries out to God.
"Dear God, why are we still struggling?"
"Why that cop kill my pops & get away with it?"
"When will it get better?"
"I miss my pops.. He had everything figured out."
He get himself together and takes a shower but while in there. He hears God's voice.
"Oh my son, sometimes the bigger the struggle releases the biggest blessings. I know you miss your father. The officer may think he's gotten away with such a horrible crime but he STILL has to answer to me. He may not receive earthy justice but spiritually justice will be served. Fast, pray, and believe and it WILL be better. You father had it "figured out" because it was prsying man. He prayed for you just as your mother did. He is watching over you.
Don't give up!
Whatever your going thru, God's got it. He will bring you out of the storm and the darkness to the sun and clear sky. Dont worry about getting anybody back cause God's got that too. You are loved and protected thru grace and mercy.
Fast, Pray, and Lean on Him
