This whole day tested me. In every way-
mentally: 18 month old is awake at 2:30 am - 8:30 am...don’t lose your cool.
Emotionally: let the little things go - you can fix everything
Physically: 18 month old wanted to be held in someway shape or form through the whole day. Toddler was no different when he was home
Coffee fueled me along with massive amount of water and snacks.
Breathing exercises were a must most of the day. Walking away, or trying to when I have someone clinging to me all day, happened a few times. A lot of books for the little ones and a “I can do this later attitude “ for myself when it came to the ever growing checklist.
I lost my cool once but no yelling - very stern but no yelling. Cuddles happened after that.
Fast food for kids dinner and store bought soup for us adults.
.every parent goes through these days. I am not alone. This too shall pass
We did do a Santa activity tonight! trying to put off our nightly TV. Although we did end up watching @theincredibles2 .
