📚HOW I PASSED THE NCLEX!📚

I have been getting messages from nursing students on tips to pass the NCLEX so I thought I’d share. I have no big secret and I honestly didn’t start studying until about 2-3 weeks before my test date. The NCLEX-PN has a minimum amount of 85 questions and a maximum of 205. The NCLEX-RN, has a minimum amount of 75 questions and a maximum of 265. Know that nursing school does not teach you everything that can be included be on the NCLEX, so you may see unfamiliar medications or diseases on your exam. BELIEVE in yourself, you’ve got this 🌟

1️⃣. Once you’re approved to test, pick a date that you’re comfortable with! Try not to test too soon or too far away from your date unless you just really have to. I decided not to tell anyone my test date until about 2-3 days before(it helped me stay calm for the most part.) Most people I know didn’t tell anyone their test date until they found out they passed.
2️⃣. Read the reviews on the different testing prep material before purchasing! I decided to go with the @kaplannclexprep book for PNs. The questions were similar and set up just like my actually NCLEX exam. After you review, decide on which will best for you.
3️⃣. Do NOT cram the night before! You will already be nervous|anxious, cramming will only bring you unnecessary stress. Try to get a full nights rest (at least 7-8 hours).
4️⃣. Visit your testing site if you’re not familiar with the area! You may be allowed to go test in different cities and|or states if your test dates in your area are filled up. If you are late, you may not be able to test and will have to reschedule and pay the testing fee again.
5️⃣. Eat smart! AVOID sugary and fatty foods and especially those that will make you sleepy.
6️⃣. Do not under or over think a question! Read each question as is, they have ALL the information you need to answer them. Do not use real world experiences to answer them.
