I wanna let you in on a secret...

This past month, I’ve slipped up on my diet.

Not just once.

Multiple times... 🍕🤷‍♂️🍷

And guess what?

I know I’ll slip up again.

So why haven’t I spiraled out of control?

Why haven’t I gained back the 140+ lbs I’ve lost?

Two things —> Language 🗣 & Mindset 🧠

When I overeat, I don’t call it a “binge.”

I don’t turn it into a game of “how bad can I be?” either...

I finish my meal and get back to what I was doing before.

The next day, I don’t try and “recover” by drastically cutting calories, fasting, or doing guilt cardio...

I get back on the regular plan.

There’s not a single person on Earth who doesn’t veer off their plan on occasion and end up overeating, skipping a workout, etc.

No one’s perfect 🙅‍♂️

And that’s okay!

Luckily, you don’t have to be perfect to lose weight and build a lean & healthy body.

What it takes is consistency 💯

Consistently hitting your nutrition targets...
Consistently making healthy food choices...
Consistently getting to the gym...

So stop beating yourself up after every little mistakes.

Mistakes WILL happen, and beating yourself up about it is like twisting the knife after getting stabbed 🔪...

Like stubbing your toe on a corner and then kicking it with your other foot 😤...

Pues debemos tener mucho cuidado porque para reemplazar este ingrediente muchas veces le adicionan grasa, azúcar y otros químicos que pueden ser peores, Mi recomendación es: no consumas alimentos que necesiten en su base el gluten, como todos los de panadería. Así te evitarás pagar precios excesivos por productos que finalmente también te elevarán la glucosa, están llenos de carbohidratos e ingredientes que no sabemos. Para calmar mi antojo de pan porque me gusta 🤤 consumía @pangabriel_glutenfree pero con su aumento excesivo prefiero consumir algo que me nutra realmente y no suba mi insulina como nueces, almendras, etc.

It is a story about a gardener and his flowers, and it goes something like this.

A Gardener, who loves watering and taking care of his flowers, was jealous about the flowers in the garden of his neighbour.
He thought that the flowers of his neighbour were more vivid and colorful eventhough the neighbour didn't spend much time taking care of them while growing them. Not as much as he did for his flowers. He started thinking about possible ways to grow a great crop of flowers, fertilizing them didn't work, giving them extra love and care, didn't seem to work, the only option he had left was to relocate the flowers to a new patch and stopped caring for them, and what he saw blew his mind the flowers he didn't care for anymore grew vivid and bright.

Can you guess why the gardeners flowers didn't grow and flourish like the ones of his neighbour?

Well, just like in life, you can give people, things or even emotions so much attention, information, care and even love but still they won't grow if the surrounding isn't good enough.

So what's the point of my whole story i hear you say.
When you are stuck in life and nothing seems to grow or work WITH you.
Change your environment or atleast concider changing things up for the better of it and get out of that COMFORTZONE.
You'll see that things will be falling into place and you might just bust that plateau.

LOWER BACK PAIN

The most recent statistics claim that 60% of all primary care visits in America had patients reporting on lower back pain. That is an insane amount of people having issues in a crucial part of the body. The pain can be mild to debilitating.

The lower back in itself is very complex, and there can be multiple issues going on at once that cause your lower back to be in pain and dysfunction.

I've trained a multitude of clients with these issues, and the most significant culprit is actually modern lifestyle.

Think about it. We lie in bed for several hours, we get up only to sit down to eat breakfast, then sit in our cars to drive to work, only to sit at our desks for several more hours. Once we finish work, we sit right back down to traverse back home where we sit down to eat dinner, watch TV, decompress, to lie down in bed again for several more hours.

Our bodies were designed to move, and if you don't use it, you lose it. So much sitting will not only cause our muscles to atrophy. But it will also cause them to shorten, work improperly, destroy our posture, and wear down our joints and bones.

That is why fitness is necessary, because our lives literally depend on it!

It is nearly impossible to create change within ourselves if the action we take does not remain consistent with who we believe ourselves to be. If you want lasting change, then perhaps this advice will help. .

First redefine who you are. Place yourself in a state of calmness, safety, and curiosity and write as honestly as you can to the question, "Who am i?"...

.
But mostly write with the intention of who it is you want to be. You'll find that your brain will then do whatever it takes to support that definition that you wrote down and your habits will soon change.
.
.
If we define ourselves as fat, we may lose a little weight but then shift back to how we ACTUALLY believe we are. If instead we define ourselves as rich, abundant and giving, we soon will step into that person.
.
.

How to prepare for a long distance run 👟

1. Create an epic playlist 🎧

Cause If you can do cardio for a really long time without music ...are you even human 😂 kidding... but if your like me, this is a great way to enhance “me time”
.
2. Food for fuel but not like high in saturated fats think more high in fibre foods 😁🙏🏻
.
3. Comfy shoes & accessories ie iPhone arm band if your like me and don’t like holding things when you jog.
.
4. Keep up your fluids, as I said I hate holding things 😂 so I normally will just stop over at tap and drink water there or if you don’t mind holding a water bottle then do it 💦
.
5. Remember to enjoy the run, and just have some time off in your own thoughts, running for me is like free mental therapy especially when it’s a nice beautiful day outside ☀️just take the time to enjoy your surroundings, because of us live busy lives and it’s nice just to take some time out and enjoy what you have around you, I’m going to have a very full on time again soon so I’m super keen to go for a run tomorrow 💚

Also I have @roundthebays_ next Sunday so really excited to do my best and be supporting @mhfnz I haven’t done the greatest job fund raising as life has been pretty full on but will post some stuff the next couple of weeks 💙

NEVER MISS A MONDAY. While everyone in the gym were busy with legs, I focused on my upper body. Swipe➡️➡️➡️ for what I did today. All videos were sped up 2x:

. .1. 10 reps for each exercise. 5 sets
.2. 10 snatches superset with 30sec dumbbell curls. 3 sets
.3. 10 lat pulldown superset with 30 sec overhead rope extension. 3 sets
.4. 10 bench pushups superset with reverse grip lat pulldown. 3 sets. As you can see, I need to really work on my pushups more. I admit, I suck at them. .5. 10 cable pushdown superset with 10 chest pull variation
.6. 15 reverse grip triceps. 3 sets.

Alot of people are too scared to put in the work and do a serious bulk. They don't want to "get fat", lose definition, lose muscle striations, lose abs, lose a v-taper, etc. Everyone has their own goals and opinions, which is amazing. But if you want to put on some serious muscle mass, you have to put in the time, work, and effort along with a caloric surplus. Change does not happen over night, and it doesn't happen without the extra food intake to add muscle to your frame. I see so many people who want to stay at a low body fat, but constantly complain about not gaining size. I don't see where the confusion is. Take the time, and no, I don't mean weeks or even a few months, but take a long time to bulk up and put on the size you want. You can always lose the body fat later, but you have to have the size first. So here's an example of me.
