It’s crazy to think that there was a time that i struggled daily to find joy! That I once felt like I was being suffocated by this dense dark gray fog...no matter what I seemed to do.
Then one day something just clicked...I needed to focus on the good....sounds simple and obvious maybe, but when your in that fog it seems almost impossible. You get so used to seeing thing through that darkness that it’s all you tend to see in everything. Changing that wasn’t easy, it was one of the most difficult things I’ve had to do. I had to take control of every thought that came into my mind and try to see it for what it was. The actual truth of the situation not the clouded view that this darkness had caused. I HAD to search for the good, find things to be grateful for. Surround myself with people who saw joy, as uncomfortable as that was at first(because, well misery loves company💁🏼). So that’s what I did! It didn’t change overnight, it was a process that took time...lots of time!
I started with small things, finding gratitude in nature (enjoying smells, sounds, feeling sunlight on my face). From there that gratitude grew....now I can find something to be grateful for in every situation...even if it’s one small thing.
You see what you put out you also attract! Focus on the negative that becomes all you see and feel....BUT focus on gratitude, seek the joy and love in everything (I promise it’s there somewhere) and that’s what you’ll attract! And remember...check your surroundings, if the people there aren’t building you up, then they are just stealing your joy! And babes...you deserve JOY!
