Happy Saturday friends! I am working this weekend
#nightshift. I really love working the shift overnight, but I would rather be on a normal sleeping schedule on days. I have worked days in my past and it’s definitely more of a challenge with it being so busy! Trying to have a life/ work balance, get enough rest, workout, have a social life, eat well, etc etc is difficult. But you make it work and stay positive! I definitely am a little sleep deprived bc I don’t like to sleep all day. When I do sleep all day I feel more down and depressed😒🙁 I like to wake up a few hours before my shift, get my body moving and feel like I have accomplished something.

Last night I had some time to do some studying and my focus was on the cardiovascular system and the lymphatic system. Interestingly one of my patients had just had a lymph node biopsy done, so it was neat to refresh myself on that knowledge and even get a little deeper understanding!

Holistic health is learning about how everything is interconnected. Every body system is in a way dependent on another. Everything you do in life is connected to an outcome. Nutrition seriously impacts every cell in your body! There are over a trillion cells in your body constantly working together 24/7 to keep you alive. It’s pretty magnificent actually. The body never ceases to amaze me. Its important to learn to care for the mind, body, and spirit as a whole✨
