In Ibadan, the capital city of Oyo state, Nigeria, just last Wednesday, I had the opportunity to attend the gubernatorial debate organized by Maboreje global farms, Farm and Infrastructural Foundation (FIF) and All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAAN). This debate which was organized against the governorship election to take place in couple of months is to keep the farmers abreast of the plan the candidates has in stock for farmers when they assume office in order to ensure availability of food.
This event which was preceded by a press conference of which I attended as a press man gained several publicity and attendance from candidates from 5 political party including the candidate from Peoples Democratic partly (PDP). And one of the important agenda is the issue of the Right To Food Bill.
