Frenship ISD director of finance receives state leadership award
Frenship ISD declared that Lela Vela, FISD director of finance, has been selected as a 2022 Increase Award receiver by the Texas Association of School Small business Officials.
Vela is just one of only seven public education and learning directors throughout the state of Texas to get the award this calendar year, in accordance to a news release from the district.
Vela and the other recipients of the Increase Award ended up picked based on their management traits, achievements, and their need to go on growing their job. The award also acknowledges the recipients as long term leaders who are on the increase in the college organization neighborhood and job.
Vela has been with the Frenship household for 10 several years, serving in numerous roles within just the Frenship ISD Small business Office which includes Accountant, Coordinator of Accounting, and now Director of Finance. Not only is Vela an active member of TASBO, earning their best certification of Registered Texas University Company Administrator, but she also participates in a variety of group and Frenship committees and serves as a mentor to young business enterprise experts and learners.
“For the previous 10 decades, Mrs. Vela has been an inspiration and guiding force in the budgeting, accounting, and monetary operations for Frenship ISD,” explained Frenship ISD Assistant Superintendent Main Money Officer Farley Reeves. “She has furnished masterful management to the district local community in creating seem budgeting methods, offering monetary steerage, schooling, and exceptional assistance to all stakeholders.”
As a Increase Award receiver, Vela was honored in front of university organization leaders throughout Texas at the 2022 TASBO Interact Meeting Awards Luncheon. Vela suggests she was humbled to receive the honor, and she is thrilled to carry on escalating as a chief to far better serve Frenship ISD.
“My desire is to continue on to produce and grow myself and my coworkers with a collaborative surroundings, a coronary heart for provider, and a scholar-concentrated way of thinking,” stated Vela. “The amount of money of education, support, and aid we can present to campus team and central place of work team is paramount in order to allow for them to focus on what they need to concentrate on, our pupils. I hope to foster this attitude and use it to increase our leaders who want to serve in schooling.”
